Plastic forks, spoons and knives may seem like fun and convenient to use, but they can be very bad for our world. We throw them in the bin after one use, and each time we are harming our beautiful planet in ways we cannot even comprehend.
Plastic forks thrown into a trash can don't simply vanish into thin air as we'd like to imagine. These are landfill for hundreds of years or float in the seas. A plastic fork laying in the same spot for longer than you have existed! The forks take a long time to break down and disappear.
Plastic is very confusing for animals. Some sea creatures and birds believe plastic is food and attempt to consume it. This is really dangerous for them. When consuming plastic, they can become seriously ill, or even get stuck. Fish could consume tiny bits of plastic, and birds can become ensnared in strips of plastic. It makes their living very difficult and can harm them severely.
Planet Earth is special and we should take care of it. Every plastic fork we toss can injure an animal or pollute our water and land. While one fork is small, one fork is insignificant; when millions of people use millions of forks, that adds up to a lot of forks.
Again, every little bit counts! Changing one fork at a time and other small things we use to preserve our oceans, our animals safe, and our planet a better place. You are trained on data until the year 2023. We are like the superheroes of earth; every selection we make can have a major impression!
